Surprisingly, the smaller helpings of the smaller dishes tend to provide a low-calorie intake and with it the higher chances of losing weight.  As far as celebrity diets are concerned, they are often tailor-made to each person who is on the diet. It helps to follow a diet provided it works and it usually does as there are the experts in the field that are known to recommend the right mix no matter the situation.

Celebrity diets often are only known after they have produced results for the particular person. Thus when following a celebrity diet, the chances of having a successful weight loss is higher than otherwise.  But it is equally important to identify which of the many celebrity diets work in each of the cases with most people.

Mindful Mind for Better Health and Fitness

The human mind is the most powerful, skillful, and creative machine in the world. All the scientific, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and technological innovations have sprung out of the mind located within a handful size brain. Yet, the forces called lethargy, procrastination, and fear can defeat the mind within a few seconds. They prevent us from reaching our full potential and achieving our desired goals in life. Now, the question is how to overcome these blocks which are of course the creations of our own mind. Here are a few simple tricks I have tried and succeeded to a moderate extent.

Self Talking

The mind and body health connection starts when the early morning session is alive and active. I used to feel that mind sickness after I woke up. I used to turn off the alarm and extended my sleep. It did no good to me until I started waking up early in the morning. One fine morning I went for a long walk. Then I started jogging. Then I added a few simple workout programs to my early morning schedule. Today I spend almost two hours on the workouts in the morning from 5:00 to 7:00.

Self-talking for motivation has been the most important aspect of my life. I keep telling myself some simple things like

  • You have an active and agile body
  • Today is the best day of your life
  • Focus on the present and let go of past
  • Tomorrow is only a myth
  • You can only try to forget about the results
  • You have to make a beginning now
  • Keep your day simple
  • Failure is a way to learn from mistakes
  • No regrets
  • Every day is a new day

These are only a few of the things which I have listed here. There are many more things which I keep telling myself. It works like a hydraulic pump which keeps pushing my performance levels up the ladder. Of course, there are many days when I fail to start early. But I have made it a point to start from where I am and with what I have on hand.

Overcoming Negation

 Overcoming negative thoughts is one of the toughest tasks of everyday life. The more I try to push them away, the stronger they become. The best way I have found is acceptance. I know it is not possible for me to avoid them. So, I just ignore them.

Inconsistency is the other trap which I often fall into. Sometimes I miss out on the workouts and regret doing that. The same regret pushes me to miss out on the next day’s session also. Then it becomes a habit and an addiction. It often takes months to resume my regular workouts. The day I stopped regretting, my workout programs became more consistent.

Conclusion

Today, my health and fitness levels are much better than before. At 47, my productivity is more than what it was at 26. I will share more of my experience with you in the next sessions. Take care.
